Meet the Leeris Team

Shuala Martin, MA, MS
Founder, Lead Coach
I’ve always been driven by a desire to help others reach their full potential. For over 25 years, I worked in the human rights and humanitarian sector, 18 of those years with a major global organization operating on every continent (except Antarctica) with a multi-billion-dollar annual budget. My work centered on government-level capacity building: developing strategies, strengthening communication, improving efficiency, standardizing procedures, managing data, and mastering the art of international diplomacy. Sound familiar?
I loved that work and the opportunities it brought, including living abroad for 11 years, collaborating across cultures, and traveling the world. But eventually, I realized I wasn’t growing professionally anymore and was ready to build something new. I brought together everything I’d learned from decades of leadership, strategy, and systems work – plus the entrepreneurial experience I’d gained with a foot in retail since I was 18 years old – and discovered that business coaching was the natural next step.
Today, I use that global experience to help business owners and nonprofit leaders create clarity, strengthen operations, and expand with confidence at home and abroad.
When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me running (very, very slowly), diving into a great book or K-drama binge, writing fiction on occasion, and enjoying time with my pup, Lola, under the Florida or California sunshine.

Abigail Bodenham, BA
Freelance SEO Specialist, Social Media Manager
I’ve been fascinated by words and world events since childhood — think less “Barbie Dreamhouse,” more “BBC World News at 6” and endless “why?” questions. Growing up multilingual, I quickly learned that real communication is about listening, nuance, and connecting across cultures.
At 23, I’ve jumped at every chance to grow my career. I discovered SEO during a bilingual internship in Paris, and what started as unfamiliar quickly became something I both enjoyed and excelled at. Now, I bring those skills into everything I do, from writing and strategy to helping the right audiences find the right message.
With a bachelor's degree in International Politics and French, I’ve worked across marketing, event PR, and campaigns spanning how-to guides to cultural celebrations. Next up: a Master’s in Communication Management at UNF, focused on public service and people-first leadership.
When I’m not working, I’m watching niche documentaries, planning my next trip, or making the case that a French admin deserves its own LinkedIn endorsement.

Lola
Mascot
Since I was only 10 weeks old, I’ve been making my mom smile and getting away with mischief because I’m really, really cute. As the official mascot for Leeris, I support the team by supervising snack breaks, warming laps, and scaring away intruders at the door. I take my duties very seriously… unless there’s a sunbeam nearby. In my spare time, I like to nap and beg for treats.
